Lacona is situated in the southern part of Elba Island and spreads from Colle Reciso to the sea. This stretch of coast is very variegated and is characterized by the promontory of Punta Stella, a beautiful green strip creeping into the sea, separating the large sandy beach of Lacona Gulf and the pebble beach of Stella Gulf. At the western most part of the Gulf of Lacona is located the small but lovely beach of Laconella.The seabed of Lacona lends itself especially to underwater activities. Residence Lacona is located in this resort - particularly appreciated thanks to its beaches and seawater – just a hundred metres from the sea and in the heart of a big green park.
Lacona and its apartments are the perfect place for those families loving active holidays at the seaside. Residence Lacona is just a stone’s throw from the beach, just few minutes by car from the main villages on the island, and in the hottest months it’s the best place to choose for the typical summer holidays. Residence Lacona, surrounded by its marvellous green park of pine woods reaching the long sandy beach of Lacona, is the ideal place for those who are keen on water activities and for families with children.
Residence Lacona is made up of three buildings set in the midst of the large green park of Hotel Lacona. Two buildings are about a hundred metres far from the beach, while the third one is located behind the hotel and is about three hundred meters from the sea. Residence Lacona features a large free parking for guests usage.
The apartments of Residence Lacona are one-roomed apartments, two-roomed apartments and three-roomed apartments. Some of them have been recently refurbished; all the two- and three-roomed apartments have two bathrooms.
Many areas are available for Residence Lacona guests. The large green park, the shaded garden, the beautiful and big swimming pool with whirlpool, the tennis courts.
The American bar, the restaurant and the bright hall with its wicker furniture and the TV lounge are available to those who would like to have access to Hotel Lacona amenities.
The cosy restaurant can comfortably accommodate also Residence guests. It’s painted in white and shows an original lighting and tasteful rattan white panels. Every night the excellent cuisine offers different and high quality buffets, prepared by a renowned Italian chef. A wide wine selection welcomes guests as they enter the dining room. The diving centre Blue Immersion, which is situated on the near beach of Margidore, offers to our guests beautiful immersions, even at night, and snorkelling at special rates.
Family holidays on the Island of Elba
The Island of Elba and especially Residence Lacona are the perfect destination for families with children. The residence reserves many areas to the children: the playground located in the hotel park, the swimming pool and an animation program - in June, July and August - which is especially dedicated to them. The Mini Club is dedicated to children between 4 and 12 years old; the program provides morning games on the beach, afternoon games in the park, and evening baby dance.
Adults can spend their days on the beach or can choose to go on excursion. Trekking, kayak, or mountain bike are perfect activities that can be practised on Elba Island. Residence Lacona offers many leisure possibilities, such as tennis, swimming and riding by bicycle.
